Due Date

We’ve been building up to today since the birth of an idea in 2005.  Countless hours of searching, emails, ideas, laughs, arguments, contemplation, drawing, hard-earned money, and planning have all come down to right now. Digital copies of MoR are now available on Amazon worldwide, however, physical copies are dependant on their multiple satellite offices as the biggest self-publishing company in the world works to put our books together.  I once heard someone say nothing worth doing is easy.  If true, this was worth doing twice.

Regardless of the above, we are breathing and healthy. Thank you to anyone who continues to stand by this foreign dream. Books coming soon!

Fledged Birds Must Fly

A seasonal movement has begun. The two month promotional campaign leading up to the online availability of our first release in 10 years, along with the re-releasing of the original two books, is officially underway. We remain braced and composed for the days ahead while paying special attention to the tasks at hand. The support from family and friends has been unsurprisingly astounding, as none of this would have been possible without them.

Before/ After the Beginning/ End

We are honing the project and working with a heightened sense of purpose here at VISIONSFOUND.  Art is being completed, thoughtful plans are incubating and new team members are arriving in growing and fanciful times.

Our latest accomplishments are vital pieces to the integrity of the books and their future history. Here’s a run down of some of the artists and people we’ve been privileged to not just work with, but call our friends over the past few months :

  • Baby Teeth artists Ozgur Yildirm, Juan Castro, and Giorgia Lanza are officially WRAPPED

  • South Korean phenom Brooks Kim has completed the cover for our third release

  • The last two pages of book three have been finalized by the refreshingly avant-garde Luca Boni from South Africa

  • Our first two releases are going through much needed makeovers and will feature art by the Croatian king Dario Jelusic and the stunning India Lee Crews from the United States

  • The books are being edited by the always intuitive and precise Shannon D’Arcy. (Release dates to come!)

  • New logos for every book title have been made by font fanatic John Misael Villanueva in the Philippines

  • The book four cover has been completed well ahead of time by German prodigy Daniela Uhlig.

  • The person that will turn all this art into a story; rising star Aditiya Bidikar is set to start the lettering process this February

  • Lens liaisons Alex Hyde, Patrick Chambers and Dmitiry Chugai have all contributed pieces of their photography to the project

  • Finally, we would like to officially introduce and welcome our newest team member in charge of Marketing and Public Relations, the multi talented Sara Chiesa.

A colossal thank you to every single one of these people.  Your dedication to the arts makes Earth a better and brighter place to live on, and our relationships together have done just that for us.

In other notable news, Canada lost their most profound percussionist and lyricist last month.  Neil Peart’s words and life were a constant source of fuel for the imagination and demeanor of this project.  Although we never knew Neil personally, his life will live on (at VERY least) through the themes and spirit of these books. We’ll leave you with a song from his notebook he wrote for Rush’s 1980 album; Permanent Waves

Intestinal Fortitude

We’re really off schedule and down to the last three pages of our next release. Waiting for any type of commission is normally exciting and full of hope, however art is tricky. Deadlines, lack of inspiration/ direction, work load, personal affairs, natural disasters, political unrest, and a slew of other hindrances can all help part an artist from their focus leaving the commissioner in a precarious and tough position. There’s a microscopic line between friend and boss at VISIONSFOUND but at the end of the day is it wise or even possible to rush an artist or demand over due work? If you do and they deliver will the product be compromised?

Art is a sacred process between a human and any given medium. The act of giving someone money to create a personal, individual vision is rather perplexing and an incredible privilege. We put contracts in place to work towards a common goal, anything outside of that is outside of our hands.

Patience and taking care of whats around you in the present moment will always win the day, otherwise you may, “find yourself dancing on the end of a string without any music.”

ECDYSIS

We’re ditching our exoskeleton and growing fast as we enter a new year of life. Our first book since 2011, fan club, statues, new merchandise, and of course this all new blog to replace our add littered word-press page are all set to be revealed in the year of MMXIX. Check back periodically for artist news, book happenings, interesting discoveries, and generally anything we believe to best represent us and/ or benefit you. Never stop looking, do anything to find it.
